Introducing memory keeping using "Day By Day" stamps.
This page is the week that prompted me to put aside the stamp ideas I had in mind and create "365: How Are You?"
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, I have been taking great care of my health because I have small children, but I ended up falling ill. I hated the feeling of anxiety I felt while waiting for the test results to come out, wondering if it was COVID or the flu. As soon as I started to suspect that I was not feeling well, I isolated myself just in case, and I really felt the importance of health.
I was bedridden and had nothing to write about, so I decided to write down my children's sleep talking and strange behavior. Now I can laugh when I think back on the things they said in their sleep, and it was a good idea.
I stamped "A boy sleeping with a teddy bear" and stamped "January" over the futon. The stamp was originally straight, but I curved it a little to follow the lines of the futon. This is possible because it's a clear stamp.
I liked the design of the packaging of the medicine my family member was taking, so I tore it up and pasted it on.
"If you catch a cold, don't push yourself and take a day off to rest."
...It really hit home.
When pasting something like this, I try to make it as flat as possible, because if it becomes too thick when the notebook is closed it will make it difficult to stamp on other pages.
This was the page that inspired the release of "365: How Are You?" this month. Tomorrow, I'd like to introduce another memory keeping method using stamps from "Day By Day" !
