Artville What is Artville?

The word "Artville" came to me while watching my favorite Christmas movie.
We named it Artville with the hope that it would become an art town where many creators gather. If Artville has clear stamps of various styles, we're sure everyone will find a clear stamp that they'll fall in love with at first sight!

Some people may be worried that producing clear stamps is a high hurdle, but the Sakurala staff will support you from the very beginning. Let's work together to create clear stamps that will bring excitement and thrills to many people!

The process of turning an idea into reality




1) Please apply using the Artville application form below.


2) After confirming the application details, We will contact you regarding your participation in Artville and provide further details. Please note that it may take some time depending on the timing of your application.
* The screening criteria are not publicly disclosed, but we may decline your application if the design does not comply with the guidelines. Please be sure to read the guidelines.

3) Based on the information you provide in the application form and the image of the clear stamp you want to create, we will discuss the direction and other details in line with your ideas. We will explain and make suggestions regarding data submission guidelines and design restrictions. This is a strategy meeting to create the best clear stamp possible.

4) Please create the data to be submitted. Before starting the manufacturing process, we can also create a sample for an additional fee and with a separate delivery date. Please contact us if you would like this.

5) We will confirm the clear stamp design for final confirmation. At this stage, your order will be official and we will send you an invoice. Please note that cancellations will not be accepted once payment has been completed. The initial production quantity of clear stamps will be 50 pieces. If you would like a larger quantity, please contact us in advance.

6) The manufacturing process begins on the specified date. Artville's schedule will be announced when you apply. Please submit your data by the specified deadline. If for any reason you are unable to meet the deadline, please contact us separately. Please note that we cannot replace the design after the data has been submitted.

7) After confirming the submitted data, our partner factory will begin the manufacturing process for the clear stamps. The delivery time is generally 4-6 weeks, but please note that this may vary depending on the factory's workload or on US and UK public holidays and holiday seasons. The finished clear stamps will be delivered to your specified shipping address.

8) We will inform you of the designated release date on our online shop. We will discuss and decide the timing of the pre-release unveiling. We will both work together to prepare for the release, including creating product images and samples of the clear stamps, and share them with you.

9) Clear stamps now on sale! From the release date onwards, it will be possible for creators to sell the product in their shops or at events, or use it in workshops.

Manufacturing costs (4x6 size clear stamps)

(★) Normally, color printing on protective sheets is an additional option that incurs an additional charge, but Artville will perform color printing at our expense.


The first batch will consist of 50 clear stamps. If you would like to order more than 50 pieces, please contact us in advance. We can change the production quantity in batches of 8 pieces. Sales at creators' shops and events, and use in workshops, etc. will be possible from the release date onwards.

During the first production run, we will cover the manufacturing costs and manufacture 30 units separately, of which approximately 25 units (※) will be sold on the Sakurala online shop.

(*) The initial production number will be 30, but as they will be used for photography and sample creation in preparation for sales, we plan to actually sell around 25 units on our online shop.

--- 『 Some people may be concerned that producing clear stamps seems like a high hurdle in terms of production lot size and cost. The Artville program is 45,000 yen (excluding tax) all inclusive. I will be making 50 clear stamps. The suggested price for a 4x6 size clear stamp is 2,000 yen. * (excluding tax) So, if we sell 23 units, we will be able to cover the manufacturing costs. If you are a creator and would like to have your item remanufactured, please contact us. Delivery times may vary depending on the factory's workload, so please consult with us.

At our online shop After the initial sale of clear stamps is sold out, a design fee will be charged for any remanufactured stamps. We also charge a design fee if we introduce our clear stamps to our business partners and they place an order. The design fee is calculated by deducting manufacturing and other costs from the wholesale price, and is calculated, reported, and paid every three months.

About the schedule


The schedule below is a rough guide. The first batch of data submission deadline is late June, but it is possible to start production earlier. For details on the actual schedule, please see We will inform you after you submit your application. If you have a desired delivery date, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

About submitted data


For details on data submission guidelines and design restrictions, we will send you guidelines and templates after you apply.


* Create with Adobe Illustrator

The process will go more smoothly if you use Adobe Illustrator to create the data. During the design strategy meeting, we will ask you to send us the data in AI file format, and we will make suggestions for polishing it.

* Other than Adobe Illustrator Create with

If you have created your data using software other than Adobe Illustrator, it may take some time to assist you, but we can still accept it. Please send the data in PDF file format during the strategy meeting.

* Use hand-drawn designs

You can also scan your hand-drawn paper manuscript and use the digitized data. However, we cannot assist with scanning. Considering the quality of the data, we recommend scanning something larger than actual size and then reducing the data to the specified size. Be careful not to include any dirt or stains on the paper, and be sure to delete any parts that are not part of the design. Please note that if any dirt or stains are reflected in the submitted data, they will also become part of the stamp. Once you have completed the work, please send the data in PDF format for the strategy meeting.



Frequently asked questions


Q. How many stamp designs can fit on a 4x6 size sheet?
A. There is a specified gap between the images. You can include as many stamp designs as you like as long as they fit within the 4x6 size. You can also include one large 4x6 size stamp.

Q. Can I sell the stamps I make?
A. You are free to use them as you wish, such as selling them in your own shop or at events, or using them in workshops. Wholesale sales via creators are also possible.

Q. Is it possible to produce 4x6 size clear stamps?
A. Yes, it is possible. However, Artville is currently only offering collaborations on 4x6 size clear stamps. We may introduce other sizes of clear stamps in the future. We will notify you when this happens.

Q. I live overseas. Can I still participate in Artville?
A. The delivery address is This is only possible for countries that can receive packages via Kuroneko International Takkyubin or EMS. If the delivery address for the clear stamps you manufacture is within Japan, we will cover the shipping costs, but if the delivery address is overseas, you will be responsible for the shipping costs. Q. Is it possible to purchase acrylic blocks?
A. Yes, it is possible. Please contact us.

Q. Due to various circumstances, I will not be able to meet the data submission deadline. Do I have to wait until the next submission deadline?
A. We will make the best proposal depending on the situation at the time. Please feel free to consult with us.

Q. Is it possible to order clear stamps to be manufactured, rather than using the Artville program?
A. Yes, you can. Please contact us using the form below. We currently manufacture 4x6, 3x4, and 2x3 size clear stamps.

Precautions


* Creating original goods using photos or images of characters or people is a violation of copyright and portrait rights. We do not allow the manufacture of designs that violate such rights. Please be sure to use original designs.

* After data submission and payment are complete, the clear stamp production process begins. From this point on, cancellations will not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.

* If data replacement is required, there will be no additional cost if it is done before data submission. Please contact us. We can also accommodate requests for data replacement when remanufacturing for the second or subsequent times.

* If the delivery address for the clear stamps is within Japan, we will cover the shipping costs, but if the delivery address is outside of Japan, we will ship via Kuroneko International Takkyubin or EMS, and you will be responsible for the shipping costs. Thank you for your understanding.
