Hello everyone, it's been a while. How are you doing in 2023?
I'm sorry for not writing for a while. I fell ill just after the new year. Fortunately, it wasn't COVID or the flu, but I was so sick that I couldn't even properly greet everyone at the beginning of the year or let them know about the change in plans. In this day and age, if you get a fever, you can't move until you find out it's not COVID, and it felt like time stopped. I have small children, so I was very relieved when I found out it wasn't, but it also made me think about what to do if it was.
Thank you so much to everyone who contacted me worried because there was no action on the usual sneak peek on the 7th, or on the release date of the 14th. I was very happy and felt a warm feeling.
We are very sorry to everyone who has been looking forward to the release date, which has been delayed since the first release of the year. We started the sneak peek today, January 16th, and although it will be shorter this time, we will introduce each stamp as usual for three days from tomorrow until the 19th (Thursday). The release is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on the 20th (Friday). Thank you for your continued support.
Sorry for the long introduction... First, a quick look at the stamps released in January.
Speaking of February... Valentine's Day! This set is full of hearts and lovely designs. There is also a new set that will be your companion to record the "delicious!" moments in your daily life. And have you noticed the stamps that have a different feel from the usual 365? This is a set with a Lunar New Year theme. Many people may not be familiar with these stamps, but they will make you want to take a stroll through Chinatown and eat some delicious dim sum.
---Right after the new year, I got sick for the first time in decades (?!), so it feels like January just disappeared somewhere and it's already Valentine's Day!? It's a strange feeling.
I haven't been able to continue with memory keeping yet because it was like this. I resumed memory keeping after the debut of the "Day By Day" series. I was exploring and proceeding, but in the end, I couldn't find a style that felt right last year. I was excited to introduce it every week on my blog and Instagram... I can't help but want to make it an elaborate page, like when I used to spend a lot of time on memory keeping in my weekly Traveler's Notebook. It's hard to stop putting too much effort into it... It's a new notebook, so I'm excited to try various things with a new feeling! My biggest goal this year is to give shape to the project I've been warming up since then. I hope I can make a happy report soon. In 2023, I hope to continue to make things that will make everyone smile, and to give shape to each and every one of them.
