Scrapbook with 365: Under The Sea

2023-6 Day By Day Memory Keeping Scrapbook 『365: Under The Sea』 365

Introducing a layout using "365: Under The Sea".

I wrote the other day that my child is obsessed with animals, insects, and sea creatures. Since he was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, I haven't been able to take him out to many places, but we were able to meet animals at safari parks that we could drive to in our own car, and insects at parks and riversides. Since he's an indoor animal, going to an aquarium was a bit of a hurdle, so we couldn't go for a while, but this spring we finally made our aquarium debut! Perhaps because our child was old enough to move around freely on his own and talk, he was overjoyed. We even bought an annual pass so that we could go there easily. (This year, we've become annual pass collectors for zoos and large parks...)

"365: Under The Sea" is the perfect stamp to record the memories of that time! I decided to scrapbook the photos from the aquarium in my usual memory keeping notebook.

365 Under the Sea

I just stamped, cut, and pasted without thinking about the future, and although it didn't turn out the way I had imagined, it was fun mindlessly creating it.

As usual, I worked on it in the little free time I had at night, so it's not pretty, but I took pictures as I went along so you can see the steps. For your reference...

Draw a faint pencil line on the photo to show its size.

I stamped the main stamp along that line. This time, I started with the ocean floor of "365: Under The Sea," and stamped larger stamps, smaller stamps, and dot stamps, while keeping an eye on the balance.

Fill in the blanks with decorative stamps such as dot stamps of different sizes. This time, I used stamps with shells, coral, starfish, and fish silhouettes because it was a sea theme.

I cut around it, cut out the inside and painted it with Mildliner.

This time, I wanted to paste the photos in a memory-keeping notebook, so I made it like a scrapbook. I didn't have enough time, and it had been a while since I'd made a scrapbook, so I wasn't able to finish it the way I wanted, but I'm glad I was able to keep the photos of my memories in the notebook.

My only mistake was that I stamped too much, and the school of fish in the photo was covered up. Too bad!

Even if you don't make it into a scrapbook, you can just use it as a photo frame. I've made something like this before.

It would also be a good background for a diary or memory-keeping page. Especially the last flower frame! It made me want to try it again. It was so much fun to make and so cute... I hope you'll give it a try!!

Tomorrow, the day before the June release, we will be talking about ink and the updated ink storage. Thank you for your support!
