Ideas for using "365: Wishing You" - Part 1

2022-10 Day By Day Shop News 『365: Wishing You』 365

"365: Wishing You", released in October, is an alphabet stamp that can be used in various ways depending on your ideas. It's so much fun trying out all sorts of things, "I can do this!" and "I can do that!", that I end up losing track of time. It's different from the "just stamp it and you're done" type of stamp like "Day By Day", so I'd like to focus on "365: Wishing You" . I hope you'll use it so much that the ink will become pigmented on the stamp!

This Hana-chan stamp is designed so that you can have her holding a balloon in her hand.

(↑) You can stamp balloons separately as in the image above, or (←) you can stamp lots of overlapping balloons as in the image on the left.

If you stamp overlapping balloons as is, the ink colors will mix, but by masking the balloons, the inks will not mix and you can create a front-to-back relationship between the overlapping balloons.

It may seem a little complicated and difficult, but it's not that hard once you get the hang of it.

Mask the first balloon you stamped, then stamp the overlapping balloons on top of it. The idea is to cover the areas you don't want ink to get on, then stamp on top of them.

I stamped the paper and cut it out to mask it, but if the paper is too thick, there will be unevenness and the print won't come out well. I recommend using the sticky part of a sticky note. By stamping repeatedly, I was able to give Hana-chan lots of balloons.

You can also have her hold the flowers that are included in the monthly stamps of "Day By Day." First stamp Hana-chan, mask off the hands, and then stamp the flowers. I think it would be cute to stamp lots of flowers to make it look like a bouquet. I might give it a try...

There are even more cute ways to use "365: Wishing You," so tomorrow we'll talk about the second use idea.
