We recently introduced "365: Let's Play!" (▶︎▶︎Click here for article ◀︎◀︎), but this time we'll be focusing on the frame stamps that are inspired by the alphabet pieces from "Scrabble ," which we're sure many of you will be asking "How do I use these?", and introducing some ideas on how to use them.
First, a little recap...
"Scrabble" is a game in which players place alphabet pieces on a board, as shown in the image below, to create words and compete for points.
This stamp frame is designed to fit 365 alphabet stamps .
So I thought about how to arrange the frames.
Instead of just stamping in a straight line with space between them, you can stack them on top of each other, connect them, or arrange them in an arc...
When overlapping, I mask the area and stamp from above as I previously introduced. (▶︎▶︎Click here for this article ◀︎◀︎) The frame is square, so it's easy because you just place a piece of paper over the area you want to overlap and stamp, then mask it.
I painted it and put the animals from " 365: Here & There " on it and it became so much cuter. The alphabet is " 365: Wishing You ".
And then... last time, when I was writing my blog, it occurred to me that if I put a "?" in the frame, it might look more like Mario!! So I tried it!!!
It turned out to look like the world of Mario!!! I was so excited and had such a fun time thinking, "Maybe if I combine those, it will look like that!" What's more, out of the several photos I took, this one had 365 seconds left in the game!
The brick block next to the "?" was originally a long brick stamp, but I masked it to make this small brick block. (I should have taken a photo...) Stick a piece of paper (I recommend sticky notes!) around the area where you want to make the brick block stamp, and then stamp the brick stamp into the blank square.
The stamps I used were...
- "?" - " 365: Hikari "
- Renga - " 365: Kissing "
- Mountains and Grass - " 365: Nature "
- Bear - 365: The Great Outdoors
- Turtle - 365: Family & Friends
- The small number above - " 365: Date & Time "
It was a very fun and playful stamp time. It made me want to go to USJ even more.
The three stamps released in May will finally be joining the lineup tomorrow! There will also be a monthly set with a bonus!
In yesterday's article I wrote that if there were any designs that people thought would be nice to have, please let me know, and I was very happy to receive emails and DMs. Thank you so much for looking forward to the monthly releases! Including this month, there are only three more months left, and the entire year's worth of "Day By Day" series will be released. It went by so quickly. I'll do my best to finish it all!
The May release will debut tomorrow, May 14th at 10am. Thank you for your support.
