The pages for December 24th to 30th, 2018 were filled with events as my family came to visit from America. I took lots of photos and collected memorabilia such as shop cards, tickets, and packages, so I decided to keep the memory in a different form for the "Diary of My Family's Stay in Japan" and record it in a simple digest format in this Traveler's Notebook.
I'm often asked how I fill up a blank page, but this week I was still feeling my way around as I wasn't used to this size yet. However, my memory-keeping method remains the same. After deciding on the biggest highlight of the week, I solidify the image of what kind of page I want to make. At this time, I also narrow down the color pens and ink shades I use to a certain extent. Even on colorful pages, I don't want it to be too cluttered, so the main stamp ink I use is basically black. I then add colors from there.
...I know it's hard to explain in words. I want you to enjoy your stamps to the fullest, so I'd like to explain the memory keeping process in more detail later.
