Memory Keeping with "Day By Day" #005

2023-6 Day By Day Memory Keeping 2023

Introducing memory keeping using "Day By Day" stamps .

The layout I'm introducing this time may be my favorite of this year's memory keeping! (Although I've only introduced the layout from January on the blog so far...)

Anyway, it was a week where I didn't have much to write, so I stared at the blank page, wondering how to fill in the blanks. I racked my brains, but I couldn't get it to work, so I gave up and decided to start from a different week's page.

The reason is that in January and February, my family members got sick one after the other, so I couldn't keep up with the "memory keeping" once a day, and the blank weeks' pages piled up. If I had a chunk of time, I could catch up right away, but I'm still going back and forth between the ongoing week's pages and the blank week's pages to fill in the blanks.

One day, I hadn't even thought about this page, but when I was putting my child to bed, I suddenly had an idea. It was just like when a light bulb goes on. I couldn't stay still, so after my child went to sleep, it was time to start stamping!

365 : The idea of filling the page with ` `Tabi '' tags was great; even though there isn't much to write about each day, the overall page still has a strong presence, which is nice!

I masked the tag for the 24th and somehow managed to make it a shorter version of the tag. ( See this blog post for how to do this .)

I used watercolors to color the painting. That day, I had been painting with watercolors with my child, and I had the whole set on hand. They used to be an essential item for memory keeping, so it was fun and refreshing to reunite with them.

There are some mistakes. Have you noticed? It's on the far right side of the image above.

365 : While I was randomly stamping the "Tabi " tag, my hand slipped and the acrylic block fell. I screamed in my head, "Ohhhh Nooooo!", and when I gently picked up the acrylic block that had landed, sure enough, the tag ended up with a double line.

I wrote about a mistake in the previous Memory Keeping with "Day By Day" #004 , but this is also a part of the "flavor". I quickly changed my mind and stamped the bunny stamp from " 365: Here & There " to cover it up a little.

I had been putting off the weekly page because I couldn't come up with any ideas, but once I had an idea, it was done quickly. About 30 or 40 minutes!? I'll keep up this momentum and work hard to fill in the remaining blank weekly pages!

Tomorrow, I'll be talking about making a scrapbook of memorable photos in "365: Under The Sea." Stay tuned!
