Today I would like to talk about the ink I use on a daily basis and how to store it.
When I previously talked about storing stamps (here's the article... ` `Storing Stamps ''), I wrote that I store the ink in a clear pouch, which makes it easy to see which color is where, but the downside is that it's difficult to take out the ink.
In the end, I moved the ink to an IKEA accessory box I had at home. After looking it up, I found out it was a box called "VARIERA."
For now, the ink from "Iromoyo" is stored in 5 rows and 3 columns. In the gaps, I put acrylic blocks, tape glue, and the main clear stamps, and on top of that, the Art Spiral notebook I use for memory keeping fits perfectly! (This notebook is... " Memory Keeping with 'Day By Day' #001 ")
It's now easier to insert and remove the ink than before, making it easier to use!
...The reason I finally got around to moving my inks was because I had too many inks. I wanted to print colorful fireworks from " 365: July ," so I ended up buying eight bottles of the ink I try not to buy!
I've always used black ink as the main ink for memory keeping, and colored it with a Mildliner, so I was most particular about the black ink. My favorite black ink is from a foreign manufacturer, and the feel of the ink when you put it on the stamp and the crispy feeling of the print when you press it are exquisite. However, I'm often asked what ink I use, and I felt bad that it's an ink that can't be easily bought in Japan, so I ended up using "Iromoyo". I tried a lot of different inks, but I like the ink that is easy to use with Art Spiral notebooks, and the Japanese-style color variations. (Speaking of Japanese-style, I also love the color of "broad bean" and used it often.)
I think the actual color may differ because the colors look different depending on your computer or smartphone, but I bought some darker ink this time, so I think I won't need to buy more ink for a while. (Actually, I want a deep green like a fir tree.)
Then we tried fireworks in "365: July"! ...But it ended up being a pretty intense fireworks display again.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but I used the new "Iromoyo Kosai" ink that was released last month. I've never been interested in shiny inks or pens, but it's fireworks, so I bought two colors, "Sunflower" and "Peony".
Can you see how the light makes it sparkle in this image taken at a slightly different angle? It doesn't sparkle brightly, but rather just has a subtle sparkle.
The yellow circles on the left and right are both "sunflower color" from "Iromoyo". The one on the right is the radiant version, which is a little darker than the regular version on the left. (I thought I had bought the same color ink! So I was lucky.)
It was fun coming up with different colors and shapes for the fireworks stamps! I can't wait to start keeping my memories of summer fireworks festivals.
