Today, part 2 of our double feature is about creating landscapes using "365: Under The Sea," which we introduced the other day.
The other day, I wrote that the breaching whale stamp in "365: Under The Sea" would make a lovely scene if combined with " 365: Hawai'i ". ( This article is here... June release 3 "365: Under The Sea" )
I quickly tried it...
The scenery now looks like Hawaii!!!
When we were having a strategy meeting for "365: Under The Sea ," Igloo*dining* suggested that we combine it with " 365: Hawai'i ." Since then, I've wanted to recreate it with stamps. I've finally been able to do it.
I wanted to add other stamps of the ocean and Hawaii, but I held back because it would make the beach look too crowded. When I painted the ocean colors with watercolors, it looked more like a Hawaiian landscape.
Every year during the season, I could see whales breaching from my house, and this Waikiki-esque scene is exactly what I felt when I went on a whale watching boat. I remember being moved by the dynamic breaching. It brings back memories.
For reference, the stamps used are:
- Surfers, Diamond Head, Palm Trees - 365: Hawai'i
- Horizon, clouds -365: January
- Whales, Rocks - 365: Under The Sea
- Ship -365: Tabi
- Kayak 365: Activity
- Floating Ring Child, Sun -365: Natsu
Well, we've been introducing new stamps for a week, but tomorrow ( June 14th, 10am~) we will finally debut three new stamps for June! There will also be a monthly set with a bonus!!
We look forward to seeing how you use the stamps! Thank you!
