Create & Inspire: Monthly Memory Keeping

How was your Golden Week? I didn't go anywhere in particular, but I had lots of fun with my family and friends, and laughed a lot every day. I also went to the general audience. I thought it would be a long time, but it went by in a flash. It gave me a sense of energy in many ways, and I think I was able to recharge so I can continue making things with enjoyment .

In the " Memory Keeping " series that we introduce every week, we use a weekly format to record one week, but this time we would like to introduce memory keeping that uses a monthly format to record one month!

What you need

● Clear stamps ● Acrylic blocks ● Ink ● Monthly planner

Looking at this monthly page, some of you may be wondering, "Where do I start?!" or "Am I going to stamp every day for a month ? " When you look at the monthly page, it's packed with content, colorful, and looks difficult, right?

I have many friends who keep their memories in a monthly format, so I have tried it myself. I stamped steadily and added a few words, and before I knew it, I had a month 's worth of pages completed! That's the impression I got. Especially when you're busy, it's a pain to spread out your stamps and other tools every day and then put them away after use, so working on a few days' worth at once might be a fun way to keep going.

"What are you going to stamp?"

Stamp pictures that express what you want to record, such as what happened that day, the places you went, what you ate, how you felt, or birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends.

On special event days, you can easily find the stamp that you like, but on ordinary days, you might hesitate because "there was nothing special happening...". At first, I also had a hard time getting started on the blank monthly page. I had a hard time filling in the weekday spaces in particular, but when a friend who uses a monthly calendar told me, "The key is not to think too much!", I felt like I had jumped over the first hurdle.

"I went shopping," "I made some sweets," "I ate some delicious pizza," "I watched my favorite TV show," "I went for a walk," "I spent some time relaxing," "It wasn't a very nice day," "The weather was nice"... Anything goes.

However, on days when you have nothing to do, it's fine to just use your favorite stamps, and instead of limiting yourself to one frame a day, it's also good to use two or three frames and record the highlights of your days around that time. Create & Inspire

The monthly pages are colorful and filled with a variety of stamps, but there is a trick to making them look cohesive in the end.

Use the same ink color. Use basic black ink to stamp the outlines (lines), and then color them later with colored pens or watercolors. Even if you use colorful colors, you can create a cohesive page by using the same ink color for the main lines.

Sakuralala stamps are mostly small, so they fit easily into the squares of the monthly format, and there are stamps with various designs, so it's exciting to think about which stamp to use. Please try using the monthly format for memory keeping!
