Even more than the previous page ( Memory Keeping: 003 ), this is a page about a week when I thought, "How can I fill in the blanks...?" In the first half, my family came to visit from America, so there were so many events that I couldn't write them all down, but in the second half, the hectic feeling of Christmas and the New Year's holidays came to an end, and after everyone in the family returned home, the house became quiet and lonely, so I felt like an empty shell.
When the balance of things I want to record varies from day to day like this, I try not to get caught up in the actual dates, but to create the weekly page while considering the overall balance.
The photo of the set meal was cut out from the floor map of the mall where I went to have lunch. As with the ramen on the previous page ( Memory Keeping: 002 ), the photos on the floor map are small, so I was able to use them nicely.
The camera that looks like a stamp is a design on the letter paper. I bought it because it was cute, but it's too cute to use, so I try to use it like this. Even if I keep it carefully, I sometimes forget about it, but when it becomes part of the page like this, I can look back on it any time and feel a little happy and think, "That's so cute."
On the day of my niece's Shichigosan photo shoot, I used a stamp of Hina dolls ( 365: Nippon2 ) to create the right atmosphere. The design is usually a set with the Emperor and Empress dolls, but I masked it and stamped just the Hina dolls! There is a scene in the video I'm currently making where I stamped using this method, so I'd like to introduce it to you soon.
The picture of Lake Okutama is a commemorative stamp I found at Okutama Station. Unfortunately, the ink pad there was a little dry, but I thought, "Maybe I can use it for memory keeping!?" and stamped it on some paper I had with me. I could have just stuck it on as it was, but I cut off the bottom part and decorated it with masking tape. I used watercolors to color it.
I couldn't think of anything to write on the right-hand page, so I stuck a sticker I got at a coffee shop on it. I made sure the sticker went a little past the edge of the notebook, then cut off the excess. It somehow feels more balanced.
When I use something big and round like this, I always want to stamp the alphabet all around it. I had some extra space next to "HARAJUKU", so I used coffee beans ( I stamped " 365: Cafe ." This stamp is supposed to have coffee beans lined up in a straight line, but I curved it to fit this circle. It's just a matter of fine-tuning the placement of the clear stamp on the acrylic block, but it's a simple trick that only clear stamps can do.
Below are the stamps used on this page.
1. Numbers | 365: Fukuro
2. Plum | 365: Nippon2
3. GO SEE DO EAT | 365: Trip Guru
4. Pilot, flight attendant | 365: Trip Guru
5. Geotagging | 365: Tabi
6. Passport | 365: Trip Guru
7. --- Line | 365: Emotions
8. Speech bubble| 365: Feeling Bubble
9. Crying Hana-chan | 365: Emotions
10. Coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte| 365: Cafe
11. Alphabet | 365: Hikari
