The possibilities are endless depending on your ideas! That's the perfect phrase for "365: Pretty Patterns." The fifth installment of the "365: Pretty Patterns" series features shape stamps, which are the most thought-provoking element when creating patterns.
Although it is a small stamp, if you use it repeatedly it will create a background with a strong presence.
If you look closely, you can see that it's a little bent... I made a lot of samples, and then I started working on this shape stamp sample, which is a little bit time-consuming, so my eyes were hurting. Be careful!
1. Repeat this shape stamp to create a pattern.
2. Rotate it 180 degrees.
3. It will then look like this.
4. Print together parts ① and ③ to complete the pattern!
I printed this over and over again to create a large patterned paper.
For this pattern, I used two colors of ink: the Iromomo "silver-gray" and the softly sparkling "peony" from the Glow series.
...It's still crooked. If I draw a thin line with a pencil and then stamp it, I wonder if the pattern will be straighter and prettier? I'll try that again.
This shape stamp also lets you have fun playing with ink colors. I think it's cute with just one color, but I think it would also be cute with a colorful stamp.
There will be more tomorrow! Let's play with "365: Pretty Patterns"! Stay tuned for the fifth installment of the series !!!
