The pattern using the floral shape stamps introduced in the 7th installment of "Let's play with 365: Pretty Patterns" was even cuter than I imagined, I received a message saying. The color combination of the "plum red" and "navy blue" inks in the color pattern was also "adult-like and lovely!" It was very encouraging. Thank you very much!!
Many of the messages we received included comments such as, "I'd like to know more detailed instructions." Indeed, when you look at it like this, it's hard to know where to start, and it does seem like a high hurdle.
Today, I changed what I had planned to post and took some photos to show the steps in a hurry. I took them at night, so I'm sorry that the photos are not very good, but I hope they will be helpful. (I wish I could have made a video of it...)
This time I decided to make a tag with this floral pattern. First, I started with the edge version.
① I like the look of the pattern being interrupted on the top, bottom, left and right, so I deliberately stamp beyond the edges.
② Change the ink color and rotate ① 180 degrees. To the left of and below the green stamp Stamps are placed in two places this time.
3. Change the ink color and Turn it back to the orientation of ① and stamp it to the left of and below the yellow stamp you made in ②. Three places this time.
④ Change the ink color Then, turn it back to the orientation of ② and stamp it to the left of and below the green stamp you made in ③. This time, four places.
⑤ Now just stamp repeatedly.
As the patterns gradually connect, this process is also exciting and fun. Stamping in a straight line is important in order to create a beautiful pattern, but another important thing to remember is to always wipe the stamp clean before applying the next ink when changing ink colors.
Especially when there are differences in the shades of ink like in this case, the ink colors can mix when stamping the lighter color, which can be disappointing. I recommend wiping it clean, then lightly stamping it on another piece of paper with a dab to make sure the color doesn't stain the paper. (I always keep copy paper nearby, and after wiping it, I dab it dry to wipe it dry? To stamp it dry?)
You may already be tired of the same images, but here's a shortcut version. I stamped the floral pattern in the same direction, rather than one above the other like the first tag.
Put a stamp in the center.
② Change the ink color and draw on the top, bottom, left and right of ① Stamp the image. For the shortcut version, I started from the center, so I was able to stamp in 4 places on the second try!
③ Change the ink color, ② On the left, right and bottom of the purple stamp Stamps are placed in 7 places this time!
③Then just stamp repeatedly.
It saves you the trouble of having to wipe the stamp surface clean when changing ink colors, and you can stamp in multiple places at once, so it's much faster than the version where you work from the edge!
The only (?!) weak point is that since there are many areas that can be stamped with the same color at once, it seems like it's easy for the stamp to become crooked if you're not careful. Maybe it's because you can stamp smoothly, "Oh, I can stamp here too!", so you don't feel like stamping in a straight line...
I made two types of tags this time, with different flower pattern orientations. (In the image above, the first one is a red type and the third one is a yellow type.)
Also, the green and yellow tags from the previous sample are facing the same direction, but even though they are the same stamp, the atmosphere changes completely depending on the color combination, not just the direction. I think the possibilities are endless depending on your ideas! I encourage everyone to give it a try!
